Congratulations to Matt Hodge on becoming the winner of Money Management's Financial Planner of the Year 2009 award, announced in late November at London's Dorchester Hotel. This award is the most coveted of awards in the financial planning profession. In order to win, Matthew had to enter at least three financial planning reports in response to the eight different case studies provided in a variety of financial planning areas (e.g. Retirement Planning, Estate Planning etc.). He entered four.

Each entry is marked by other expert financial planners from which an overall single winner, the Financial Planner of the Year, is selected and then a winner and runner up in each category. His case studies were judged to be superior to all other entries.

Matt has proved himself the best of a highly talented field to claim the first prize of £5,000 as well as the honor of becoming one of just twelve people to win this award, the ’Oscars’ of the financial planning profession.

This adds another accolade for our team and one which Andersen Charnley is extremely proud of.
